From 26 September 2015, the heating and hot water devices sold in the European Union countries must be equipped with the Energy Label law. The label provides information on the energy efficiency of heating appliances through a scale of values ​​from “G” to “A +++”. . Only high efficiency devices or systems that incorporate renewable energy can produce “A +” or higher. It is an important tool through which Europe can reduce energy consumption and pollution. But the energy label for heating is still little known and therefore hardly considered when buying a new plant.

The purpose of the #CheckYourHeating campaign , launched by the European LabelPackA + project, is to inform and promote the replacement of old and inefficient heating systems.

The European energy efficiency label of appliances and space heating and domestic hot water assemblies helps the consumer to identify an efficient and ecological device, to save money and to mitigate its impact on the environment with benefits for the whole community.
