ExpoClima – Energy label for heating products: a campaign and a competition to promote it – Italian

With the hashtag #CheckYourHeating you can participate in the campaign to promote the use of the energy label for heating products. When we talk about energy efficiency one of the first images that come to mind is the classic energy label with the various classes identified by colors that go from bright red to deep green, but how many know that the energy label exists since 2015 also for the products for heating and for the production of sanitary water?

The energy label for heating and DHW products.

In fact, most of us are accustomed to thinking about the energy label associated with household appliances and light bulbs but it is not aware that the European Union since 2015 has established that even products for heating and domestic hot water production must be be equipped with a specific Energy Label.

Also the boilers, the heat pumps and the water heaters therefore, as established by the European directives Ecodesign and Ecolabel , must be equipped with a label based on a scale of 10 classes that allows to assign a G class to inefficient products, and an A +++ class to very efficient products.

To introduce this label and to allow an even more interesting evolution, the European LabelPackA + project was co-ordinated by ESTIF , the European Solar Thermal Industry Federation, and involves partners from six countries, including Italy.

The project in question deals with introducing the energy label for heating products and in particular has worked for the creation of the special System Energy Label .
