Newheat has recently closed a €13m debt fundraising with the support of Finergreen as an exclusive financial advisor. The transaction is a tremendous step forward by newHeat and the renewable heat sector is proving the bankability of the technology and the trust of Lenders for accompanying the energy transition and decarbonizing the heating sector that stands for around 50% of the European primary energy consumption.
Banque Triodos, as Arranger, and Crédit Coopératif, as Lender, refinanced one operational thermal solar plant in Nouvelle Aquitaine, the largest in Europe for industrial processes, and financed four ready-to-build assets. The assets are dedicated to producing renewable heat for two district heating networks (one in Nouvelle Aquitaine, one in Occitanie), as well as two large industrials in Grand Est and Auvergne Rhone Alpes in over a 20-to-25-year period.
