Solar Certification Fund (SCF) has launched its ninth call for proposals to continue providing regular and reliable support for the development of better processes of certification and standardization of solar thermal, with the ultimate goal of ensuring the future of this technology.

The main priorities of this ninth SCF call are extensive and include: the development of specific tools, processes and methods to improve the existing Keymark Certificate; work related to extending the scope of Solar Keymark certification; and promotion and assurance of the quality of solar thermal technology and Solar Keymark certification.

“These projects are important for the sector and for strengthening the Solar Keymark certification system. During the last six years, the Solar Certification Fund has contributed more than one million euros to more than 100 projects, “said Pedro Dias, general secretary of Solar Heat Europe (ESTIF) . “Such projects addressed issues as relevant as the production of software to provide support for certification processes, the development and implementation of new test methods or the development of solutions to facilitate the use of Solar Keymark in the framework of energy labeling”, he added.
