The European Solar Thermal Industry Association ESTIF has just published a report on the EU solar thermal markets. According to this, the total installed capacity of the newly installed systems fell by six per cent compared to the previous year.

The figures published by the ESTIF at the beginning of November on the solar thermal market in Europe in 2015 are a summary of the annual report of the association, which is to be published in full detail on 1 December 2016. According to the ESTIF summary, the total installed capacity of newly installed solar thermal systems fell by six percent in the reporting period 2015 compared to the previous year’s period.

In the press release of ESTIF , on the one hand, the report underlines the importance of renewable heating and cooling (RES-HC) for European states if Europe is to reach its 2020 climate.
