The aim of the workshop is to present the REDI4Heat project and share information on available resources like the Heat Transition toolbox, the policy tracker, sharing of best practices and discussing potential challenges. The workshop aims to demonstrate the applicability of the tools developed across different Member States.

About the speakers:

Esteban Gas is Junior policy officer at Solar Heat Europe, the association which represents the European solar thermal industry. Among other topics, he is in charge of the implementation of the Green Deal texts, such as the Renewable Energy Directive, Energy Efficiency Directive and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. 

Valentin Fried, expert for renewable heat for the German Energy Agency, is supporting the ambitions in decarbonizing the heating system in Germany and partnering countries. He puts high emphasis on an affordable and socially just transformation and works directly on supporting tools for smoothening the process of municipal heat planning for the more than 10,000 municipalities in Germany.  

Andro Bačan is currently employed as lead consultant in Croatian national energy institute, Hrvoje Požar, where he works on complex projects regarding strategies, RES legislation, financing and development of RES projects. With more than 15 years of active experience in Renewable energy sector, he was involved in numerous projects regarding RES implementation and has a wind knowledge of RES sector in Croatia and neighbouring countries. He participated in several RES policy oriented project, implementing RED provisions in Croatian legislative framework.
