Brief

The elementary school of Hallwang, Austria, is a Fully solar powered concrete core activation using a 289 m2 solar thermal collector area. It is an ecologically advanced and energetically sustainable school building. In the school, given the connection to the adjacent kindergarten, also the concept of “smart city” is
taken into account.

The school was awarded with the Austrian State Prize for Architecture and Sustainability 2019
