“Affordable and EU-made, the potential of solar thermal for buildings decarbonisation”: Solar Heat Europe and EHI, team up to promote the benefits of solar thermal in buildings

Heating accounts for around 50% of the final energy consumption worldwide, making it one of the most critical sectors for effective climate action. Solar thermal heating technology directly addresses this essential human demand with a clean, reliable, and sustainable solution.

The new brochure by Solar Heat Europe and EHI aims to raise awareness of solar thermal heating as a reliable and “no-regret” option for the energy transition. It highlights key aspects of the sector, including the current state of the solar thermal market, its growth potential, and the available policy opportunities and recommendations needed to further support its development.

To present this brochure an event will take place today, Wednesday 19th of November, in the European Parliament, from 18.30 to 20.00. The event is hosted by MEP Yannis Maniatis, the Vice-President of the S&D Group and Member of the Committee on Industry Research and Energy (ITRE).
