It is with profound sadness that we have learnt about the passing of Mr Costas Travasaros, founding member of Solar Heat Europe (ESIF back then, in 1992) on 14 August 2025.
Costas has been the founder of the company Prime Laser Tech in Greece and was actively involved in our Greek Association EBHE since many years. He has been in the Board of our Association on several occasions and more recently acted as President of Solar Heat Europe between 2019 and 2023.
Costas will be remembered as one of the leading persons in Europe actively engaged to promote the potential of the solar thermal technology and also actively contributing to the Solar Keymark work. His memory of our sector will be greatly missed, as well as his kindness, vision and excellent diplomatic skills.
Our condolences go to his wife and family, to his son Christos Travasaros – newly elected in our Board – and to his colleagues in Greece.
