Solar Heat Europe is proudly launching a new initiative – The Solar Thermal Industry Pledge – Delivering a Green Recovery. We invite all those engaged with our sector to join forces and unite our voices and efforts for the recognition of the role our sector can play in a new economic paradigm, contributing to a sustainable and green economic recovery from the current crisis created by the COVID19 pandemic.

We want to state that the European Solar Thermal Industry is ready to do its part and contribute to a Green Recovery, aligned with Europe’s energy and climate objectives. Our common pledge is meant to highlight the commitment of the sector to bring a positive change in Europe, increase its visibility and show its potential contribution in the fulfillment of the European Green Deal.

The pledge is complemented by a call for action, aiming at engaging European, national, regional, and local public authorities in supporting the sector to achieve its potential.

To achieve this goal we need all solar thermal actors to be united by joining this initiative.  Furthermore, everyone can also assist, at a first stage by inviting their contacts to also join our pledge. Later on, it will be also possible to contribute by further disseminating this the final version of the pledge.

We will send the pledge to Governments of the main solar thermal markets, as well as to national media outlets. We want with this to have solar thermal recognized in the national recovery plans that the Members States need to submit to the European Commission by October 2020.

We plan to gather new signatories by the 23^rd July and to launch the final version of the pledge on the 24^th July.

It is easy to become a signatory of the European Solar Thermal Industry Pledge. You DO NOT need to be a member of Solar Heat Europe or a national solar thermal association.  You just need to want to promote our sector and then follow this link to learn more about it and to be able to confirm your willingness to participate.
