JPP ERA-Net SES and GEOTHERMICA ERA-Net have launched in May 2021 a joint call that aims to accelerate the heating and cooling transition through technology development, system integration, and innovation, with an emphasis on market-driven projects that are ready for large-scale implementation before 2030.
The call has a total available budget of approximately €32,5 million and it is organised as a two-stage process asking in stage 1 for pre-proposals and stage 2 for full project proposals. The deadline for pre-proposals is on October 4th at 17:00 CEST. All pre-proposals to the Joint Call 2021 can be submitted via the Electronic Submission System (ESS) of the Joint Call Secretariat, which can be accessed here. The matchmaking portal is still available for those interested to connect to a broader audience and build consortia.
The two entities have also announced that they will be part of the EUSEW 2021 extended programme session addressing the topic “Accelerating clean energy transition implementation with project chains” and launched a public invitation for those that might be interested to join the conversation.
