New board of directors and a new president for ATTB

The ATTB, the association for thermal techniques in Belgium, has a new board of directors and a new president since Thursday, April 29, 2021.

The directors were proposed by the members of the different sections and appointed by the general assembly, as provided for in the statutes. Their mandate is two years. The new president is Gerd Vrieling. He succeeds the much-appreciated Patrick O, who was a member of the board of directors for 15 years, including 7 years as chairman.

The new composition of the board of directors:

  • Chairman: Gerd Vrieling (Bosch)
  • Vice-president: Hans Van der Perre (Atlantic Group)
  • Secretary General and Treasurer: Alain Van Langeraert (Van Marcke)
  • Directors: Robert Brandon (Vaillant), Bruno Haemers (Poujoulat), Eric Ladang (Aqualisys), Christophe Leroy (Viessmann), Wouter Peeters (NIBE), Wim Persoons (Thema), Yves Vanpoucke (Remeha).

The ATTB, the Association des Techniques Thermiques de Belgique, is a platform for information and representation for the sector dealing primarily with the authorities and the construction sector in general. The association was created in 1973, has about fifty members, represents more than 100 brands and 95% of the boiler sector in Belgium, 85% of geothermal heat pumps, 80% of air-water heat pumps, and 80% solar water heaters.
