#SolariseHeat – The Solar Heat sector reaffirms to EU policy makers its commitment to a Green Recovery

Europe and the entire world are facing an unprecedented crisis. In this challenging period, it is essential to keep climate and energy ambitions high and push for a Green Recovery following the outbreak of COVID19.

The solar thermal sector is ready to do its part and shows its commitment and potential contribution to this cause. With over 150 signatories, including private and public entities from more than 20 European countries, the Solar Thermal Industry Pledge calls for a just and sustainable recovery.

Therefore, Solar Heat Europe addressed a letter to VP Frans Timmermans, Commissioner Kadri Simson, and all EU and national policymakers to step up the efforts towards renewable heat in the achievement of the Green Deal objectives.

A recovery based on locally generated renewables and energy efficiency will ensure more local jobs, economic recovery, and a stronger European industry.
